Pentecost exhibition of  ornaments and masterclass in the Evangelical Lutheran Church of St. Matthias in Skulte.

Many of the ornaments in the exhibition are taken from manuscripts and gospel books from different periods. The decorative pattern of the ornaments itself resembles a net that catches people's souls and is associated with the disciples as fishers of men. The symbols in the ornaments like the Holy Spirit, remind and teach about Christ and salvation. And the decorated initials invite us to think about the Alpha and Omega -one of the epithets of Christ- the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last, which is, who was, who is to come, the Almighty.
