On 28 May, more than 200 churches across Latvia were open for visitors all day long. Each church had prepared a special programme to introduce visitors to the cultural history of their church, to witness and praise God, and to make everyone feel welcome and fulfilled.
This year, together with our fellow iconographers, we participated in the programme created by St. Albert's Roman Catholic Church in Riga. Here we set up an exhibition of icons and throughout the day we talked about icons, their painting and theology in talks and workshops.
